Will it stain my clothes after I have had a spray tan?

No, Black Magic's bronzers are made using the highest grade FD&C colours available, this helps prevent colour coming off onto clothing and sheets during the development process, we do recommend that loose fitting clothing is worn whilst your tan is developing.

How long does it last?

Everyone's skin type is different so the results can vary, it is also dependent on how you look after your tan, using Tan Xtend will help increase the life of the tan, moisturising everyday is very important, you can expect a tan that looks natural to last upto 10 days.

Does it wash off?

Yes and No, when you have a Black Magic Tan and you see an instant result, this is the bronzer in the product that gives you the feel of an instant tan, the DHA is clear. Depending on the product that you have been sprayed with either the 1 hour, 2 hour Tan or the 8 hour Premium will determine when you shower, when you shower you will see the bronzer wash off as this was just temporary. Development time is 6-8 hours for all products.

What about Swimming in pools?

Swimming in chlorinated pools may cause your tan to wear quickly, when leaving the pool or ocean after a swim dry yourself down by patting your body not rubbing it dry with the towel, this will help maintain your spray tan.

Are there any harmful ingredients in the product?

Dermatologists will enthusiastically agree that Tanning with DHA formulation is much safer than tanning for prolonged hours in the sun. Skin allergies are not common however we do recommend that you do a sample area if you are a first time spray tanner.

Can I use this product on my face? 

Yes the product is designed for the entire body, including the face. We do recommend that when spraying the face that the clients wear disposable nasal plugs.

How long does it take to dry?

Because every person have different levels of moisture in their skin, times will vary from person to person, however around 10 mins and you should be dry enough to go out and enjoy your tan.

I would like to franchise this business.... am I able to do it from home, or mobile to customers’ homes, part time? Is there any course I have to undertake before this can happen?

We don't sell franchises. We do however sell kits in helping you set up a spray tanning business, whether it is mobile or from your own home. Also you can obtain a listing in our Local Tanner section and you would be receiving phone calls quickly. We do offer training in all major cities in UK.

Is it ok to use spray on tan during pregnancy?

There are no tests showing that spray tanning during pregnancy is harmful. The ingredient in the tanning solution that gives you your tan is DHA and this is made from sugar cane, and has no known problems. We recommend you consult with your Doctor.

What is the price of your solution to buy?

Black Magic starts at 48 pounds per litre. Smaller sizes are also available.

Can I breastfeed and get a Spray Tan?

If Breastfeeding we suggest that you leave your bra on and do not get your breast tanned.

Is it safe to breathe in spray tanning solution?

Wearing a face mask is advisable when spray tanning a client. It’s advisable when spray tanning a client’s face that some protective layer of Vaseline or lip gloss to be applied to the lips to protect the mucous membranes. Whilst no test or studies show that it is DHA is dangerous following these guidelines will ensure the full safety of your client.

When is the best time to wax, before or after spray tan?

Waxing is recommended at least 24 hours prior to having your spray tan, this is to ensure the pores of your skin are closed. Please discuss with your spray tan technician.

Hi, I had a 2 hour tan and had a shower and there is no colour?

The processing time for the 2 Hour range is 6-8 hours, 2 Hour tans can be washed off after 2 hours, it is important that you do not leave it on for longer than 6 hours, please follow the instructions of your spray tanning technician. Do not shower for longer than a few minutes, refrain from using soaps if possible, try rinsing off the bronzer only. 2 hour tans are not suited to some skin types. This will result in varying tans from client to client.

I’m on medication will it affect my tan?

Some medication can affect your hormones and bodies PH levels in your skin which can change the outcome of the tan.

Is it ok to spray tan over a tattoo less than 6 weeks old?

If you have a scar or new tattoo it best to cover them up until it has healed over 100%.

I’m currently undergoing IPL/laser hair removal when is it safe to get a spray tan?

It is ok to tan 24 hours AFTER but NOT BEFORE as the IPL will tattoo the colour of the tan into your skin. All tan should be removed before your next laser treatment.

I’m wearing a moisturiser will it affect my spray tan?
Some moisturisers can act as a barrier against your spray tan. We suggest using our pre tan prep spray to remove oil, make up and excess moisturiser before your spray tan.

I use a self-tanning product can I get a spray tan over the top?
It is best to wait until you have exfoliated off the old colour first for best results.

I haven’t exfoliated in the last 24-48 hours will this affect my tan?

I general won’t affect the tan but it won’t last as long or look as nice.

How do I create an account?
Creating an account is quick and easy! Simply click on the ‘Create an account’ button that is located at the top left hand side, you will then proceed to a page that requires you to fill in your personal details and also shipping details. Once you have filled out all the relevant details click on ‘Continue’, now your account has been created. You will also receive confirmation email that will include your account details. How long does delivery take?
All orders placed by 11am will be shipped same day. Customers can expect to have their correctly completed order delivered within 1-5 working days, subject to the final destination. A business day is Monday through to Friday, excluding weekends and public holidays.

Will I have to sign for my delivery?
Yes, however you may nominate to have the parcel left without a signature (e.g. on your door step). Otherwise we suggest delivery to a home or business address where someone is available to sign for delivery during business hours. Customers are responsible to have someone at the delivery address to sign for and accept the delivery. Cost for re-delivery attempts will be passed to the customers of the delivery address if unattended at the time of delivery.

How do I change my shipping address after my order has been placed?
Your shipping address can be changed as long as your order has not left the warehouse. To change your shipping address, contact our Customer Service team as soon as possible on 07455935597​

My items haven’t arrived yet. What can I do?
Please allow up to five business days for your order to arrive. We will make every effort and use all reasonable endeavours to deliver your order on time and intact; however some matters are beyond our control. We will not be liable for such delays, lost shipment or transit damage. If you have not received your order within the expected delivery time frame specified or they are received in a damaged condition, please contact our team at sales@blackmagictan.co.uk or call 07455935597 quoting your order number.

I have received the wrong order. What do I do?

Any incorrect, missing or damaged items received must be reported to sales@spraytanning.co.uk  within 24 hours of you receiving the delivery, by email only. If item(s) received is not what was ordered, please do not open the sealed package in which it was sent. Any attempt to use the incorrect item will be deemed to be acceptance by you of the item(s) as a satisfactory substitute for the one that was ordered and no further claim can be raised thereafter. You will not be charged for re-delivery of items under this clause.

How do I update my shipping and billing address?

You can update and add to your address details by clicking "Account" icon located at the top of the home page or the account link at the Footer.
Please login to your account and click "Modify your address book entries"
You may Update the current address or enter a new shipping or a billing Address. To make that address the Default for checkout, please add a tick to "Yes" Under "Default Address:" and click "Continue" to finish editing.

I’ve forgotten my password. What should I do?
Click the "Login" link at the Top of the website. Then click "Forgotten Password" Under "Returning Customer"
This will then ask you to enter your email address and an email will be sent to the address containing a temporary password.
After login to your account please make sure that you change the password by clicking "Change your password" option at the My account page.

How will I know you have received my order and when will my payment be deducted?

After you place your order, you will be sent an email confirming that it has been received. Payment will be deducted as soon as you complete your purchase. In the rare instance that any of the items you have ordered are not available, you will receive an email from our Customer Care team and will only charge your credit card for the value of the items in stock.

How do I know if a product is in stock?
All items are in stock unless “Sold Out” is displayed. Please be aware that even if an item is in your shopping bag, it can still be bought by another customer until you have completed your order.
